May It Be

M.J. Lineberry

May it be soft beams of moonlight

Or brilliance of an evening star

Cast against the darkness around you

Night light to set your heart right

So that no matter how far

As you walk a lonely path too

On a journey you take alone

On a destiny so far from home

A light will shine to guide you

Remind you of comfort true

A light that shines to let you see

The path returns, may it be
